WICB is one of Ithaca College's radio stations, operated by students.
Currently, I serve as their Hip-Hop, Rap and R&B Music Director!
I’ve been a DJ for WICB since my freshman year, starting with their "Ladies First" segment under Weekend Rhythms. Weekend Rhythms is a sub-section of the station, where artists in the genres rap, hip-hop, and R&B are played. "Ladies First" contains the same genres, but only female artists are played, specifically on Sundays from 10 pm - 12 am. This was a really fun experience! My co-host and I (Stephanie) had so much fun talking about the music we've been loving ✨
The years after, I switched over to just DJing for Weekend Rhythms (which I still do currently!). Additionally, my junior year, I was their Social Media Manager, so I managed and posted content on WICB's Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
